Dust jacket is clipped at the corners. The dust jacket shows light shelf wear with a closed tear along the upper edge of the back dust jacket panel. Illustrated with black and white plates through out. Ms. Patterson was an early university lecturer on motion pictures. She taught Photoplay Composition at Columbia University in New York. This title as well as her other earlier book Cinema Craftsmanship served as text books in her course. A very good copy of a rare title.
